The Lost London Hotel
Project in Progress
Melia Hotels International
This luxury London Hotel is a project close to our hearts. Nada was invited to reimagine the public areas of this historically significant building, which played a key role during WWII
‘ The building itself has such a rich history that simply screamed out. Recent restorations had hidden so much of the gorgeous Art Deco detailing. For this project our priority was creating a space that felt as though it was always there- a glamorous WW2 old boy’s club, whilst ensuring a modern and intuitive flow through the building. It’s such an honour to work on such a important historical landmark, I am ecstatic to see it come to life!’ - Nada Sawires

The Lobby - Sketch

Setting the scene with the first glimpse. We’ve created an impactful and impressive space providing a sense of arrival infused with quiet luxury. For the lobby, we drew inspiration from London’s rich Art Deco history and furniture styles, harmonizing these elements with the exterior facade to create a cohesive aesthetic. This space will feature a blend of rich wood tones, warm, textured fabrics, and meticulously crafted details that add a touch of theatre, signalling the beginning of an exceptional stay for guests. For the furniture pieces, our aim is to source authentic antiques echoing the era in which the hotel was originally constructed. This invites guests to immerse themselves in the elegance of the past whilst enjoying the comforts of the present - a thoughtful approach that not only pays homage to the hotel’s rich history, but also adds a layer of authenticity and charm to the guest experience.

All Day Dining - Concept

All Day Dining - Layout We have taken cues from the existing structural columns to create natural divides within the spaces. For added flexibility, we propose the use of movable screens that enable us to close off sections of the space at different times. Depending on the offering, the screens can dynamically alter the layout of the room and when paired with the flexible modular furniture, these enable us to quickly adapt the dining area to accommodate varying levels of activity and different dining experiences, making it the perfect solution for an all-day dining concept.
